SLAA Service Positions Available

Open Positions Exist In The Following SLAA Groups/Committees

Volunteers can apply for any position via email, phone, or by attending a local or Intergroup meeting and asking to be appointed. We encourage all SLAA members to serve in a wide variety of offices, as it deepens the experience of recovery and promotes many different kinds of skills, including interpersonal, leadership, empathy, communication, etc. All of the skills learned through service to S.L.A.A. enhance recovery, promote staying with the program and successfully integrates the recovery process into a new and better personal lifestyle. Bottom line, you get much more than you give by volunteering for any SLAA position.

Duties:
Secretary: Open doors, set up, read material, close meeting
Treasurer: Collects donations, keeps balance, pays out
Literature Person       : At meetings, sets up library, orders, sells books
Intergroup Representative   : Represents local at monthly Intergroup meetings, also buys
       books for local, communicates and works on a regional level

All positions are filled for a 1 year term.



Intergroup Officer Positions
For all Intergroup positions, a volunteer must have a minimum of 6 months membership in SLAA, and a total of 3 months self-defined sobriety, (within this six month period). All positions are filled for a minimum 3 month term and for no more than 24 months.
